For over a Century, the spirit of independence, risk-taking, exploration, and persistence have continued to shape American modern dance.

America grew up with dance, and dance continues to be a barometer of life in America. From the street to the stage, dance in America captures everyday gestures, social dances, cultural retentions, social and political issues, and spiritual principles.
