Libraries in host embassies, cultural centers, and partner organizations receive books and videos provided by DanceMotion USASM as well as contributions from American dance and performing arts institutions. These resources, serving as a legacy of the project, are accessible to dancers, choreographers, scholars, students, critics, and the public long after the companies have returned home. In addition to artistic exchange, DanceMotion USASM promotes and facilitates dialogue among arts administrators and technical theater professionals. Through lectures, roundtable discussions, and hands-on practical training, program participants share ideas and best practices. All traveling company managers offer talks based on award-winning Kennedy Center’s DeVos Institute Arts Management curriculum. Traveling technical directors lead workshops and discussions with local theater professionals.
